Default In dash CD player faulty

Hi again!

2005 V50 CD changer has started misbehaving, it won't eject discs or play.

We have the Dolby stereo which is impressive as is, so I don't want to go to a generic head unit. I've seen some online videos to remove and work on the in dash changer, are they the same unit as the radio/amplifier or can I just find a replacement CD changer?

Thanks in advance

Tony

Unless you buy new, you are unlikely to be able to replace the cd changer as they code to the car once installed. They are however seperate to the rest of the system. You may be able to repair your current one with bits from a second hand one leaving the electronic in place, or if you do a search on this forum, there are a few places that repair them.
