2017 Volvo XC40

Today's Auto Express lists what is forthcoming in 2017...
Have they got it right?
They list the XC60 as emerging in 2017 (yes, I have seen thread on the subject) but what about the XC40 listed as "2017" in another part of the same issue of the AE?
I was in my supplying dealers (darn South) the other day, and salesman remarked "Funny, you're the second person today to ask about an XC40!"

Anybody's crystal ball working tonight?

The facelifted V40 and V40cc are here for a couple of years yet,

A replacement is coming but it will be a completly new small car platform and will include a hybrid version,

That will be when volvo finally breaks the last of its ties with ford

I was told next up from Volvo is an XC40, definitely before the new XC60

Back in May during the Volvo press release of the two concept designs for the XC40 and S40 known as Concept 40.1 and 40.2, it was stated the XC40 will be coming out next year (2017).

Best information I have seen; the XC40 will be available to order late 2017, appearing in dealership showrooms early 2018. So I guess first customer deliveries will be early 2018.

The XC40 will look very close to the Concept 40.1.

The S40 will be next of the new 40 series to be launched followed later by the V40.

If you haven't see what the new XC40 will look like, google "Concept 40.1"

My understanding is this is a US specification model (here, here and here) and not for European markets.

Sorry you're mistaken, the first link shows the new 40 series shapes that will be sold World wide.
The 2nd & 3rd links show pictures of the current V40 Cross Country that's not available in the US.

Maybe the XC40 will be on the cards next year now the lync & co company has been launched, I recall that the new company was going to share the 40 series platform...
