2005 v50 sport 2.0L diesel judder problems
Hi
Yesterday i bought a v50 sport 2.0l diesel 2005 151k full service history, drove around 200 miles stopping and starting with it yesterday no problems. Then this morning started it and it made a horrible noise with lots of smoke dor the first minute then back to normal no issues. I have driven it round today another 100 miles or so fine again, until i was quite low on fuel went to start it and it wouldnt start.. Took me about 10 tries pumpin the accelerator it eventually fired over. I went and put some diesel and now it has an awful judder/lurch between 1800 2200rpm in any gear, but is fine if you put your foot down?? Any input would be greatly appreciated thanks. |

Well noticed there was air in clear pipe wile it was ticking over, so been out and replaced fuel filter housing and filter. Great no bubbles until you rev it then bubble then s teady stream of bubbles appear!! Any idea were else the air is coming from? Is it one solid line back to the tank? Or is it joined by them plastic connectors anywere? Are there any other areas prone to fail or causes juddering/lurching in any gear or speed now...

Well sorted the air in the fuel line turned out to be faulty o ring on connector. But still the problem is there. I have then removed the throttle body and cleaned it, wile doing so i noticed that the plastic rod that operates the throttle flap is worn allowing play in the flap, which stops it from closing fully, could this be the possible cause of the engine hunting/judder??
Will be replacing throttle body tomorrow.. If no fix next is egr then dpf.. |
