Default B Pillar Trim Bobbling

Hi, on my 2007 Xc90, the upper B pillar fabric trim on both sides has become bobbled and is unsightly.

A search reveals that this is not uncommon and is caused by the seat belt buckle hitting it when retracting.

On my 2005 Xc70, the B pillar trim in this area was just a textured hard plastic and even after 182k miles was undamaged. A far more sensible choice of material.

Has anyone repaired theirs on an XC90 and if so what did you do?

I am seriously considering removing these trims and having the affected fabric removed and retrimmed in faux leather ( leatherette ) of a matching colour.

All of the used ones on Ebay have the same issue and apart fronm cost, even fitting new ones would not solve the inherent poor choice of material .

Mine's the same. Carelessness of the previous owner ruins the B pillar interior trim
