Default Bleeding Clutch

S40 2000, 1.8 petrol

Hello all,

Bleeding the clutch and would be grateful if someone here could tell me if what I'm going to do is correct.

have a clutch pedal mate push the clutch pedal down - I loosen the bleed nipple, tighten it - pedal up. Repeat procedure (summary, going by the Haynes manual)

Is this all there is to it? I've heard someone say that both slave and master ought to be bleed. Am I right in thinking that the slave cylinder is the one with the bleed nipple located beside the bell housing? If the master needs to be bleed too, how is this done?

Cheers for any thoughts
