I know EXACTLY what you mean, Andy.

The type that drive down the road, in their T reg Transit, with smoke billowing out of the exhaust and the po-po just drive past.

Littlehomer's dad was a traffic cop, who are quite a bit stricter on these matters, but our local cops tend to turn a blind eye, like it's not worth the paperwork.

I would recommend 4300K, it emits pure brialliant white with not a hint of yellow, and not a hint of blue, 5000k are probably the same but after that you start losing lumens.....and lots of lumens are the reason we purchase HID!

I got 10,000K first and they were worse than my 55w bulbs!

Ah well, not to go too deep, but essentially good old fashioned traffic cops were told to worry about the bigger things and ignore the smaller offences.

Then came ticket targets.

Them came the dissolution of the traffic department in the Thames Valley. Motorway cops gone.

Now they are roads policing or highways agency.

Roads policing is all the roads in a county as well as motorway.

Highways agency can do jack.

So me riding around with White HIDs is a waste of their time.

Cheers,

Daniel

I wasn't trying to upset anyone, just pointing out the law, even though its not followed. I was more worried about the vosa checkpoints cropping up all over the place, they have a lot of clout !

I was a little worried when I fitted mine so I always carry the original set of bulbs in the glove box. That way if I do get pulled for them I can change them over there and then.

I've been driving with them for 3 months now and haven't been flashed by oncoming motorists. It also sailed through its MOT last month.

That is encouraging news, Matt.

Not sure why, mate

That's two people who have fitted kits and passed their MOT without any issues.

i Think he means
"there is a change that they are discussing , where by from next year If you have HID bulbs And a manual headlight adjuster switch inside the car it Will be a Fail. To get past this, change the light switch unit inside the car to one without the headlight height adjuster"..

possibly ?

How odd.

I'll carry some bulbs just in case, good idea.

It looks like the debate could rage on this one.

Cheers,

Daniel
