Scotland I love the fish and chip midnight suppers and single malt,go and see my cousin Helen she lives outside Glasgow in the bridge of Allen,I haven't been since I was a small kid but I remember the fish and chip suppers lol. Or as they call it a poke of chips and deep fried fish lol.

I've just looked Richard looks like a great event ,after watching Neil Oliver's new TV programme a out the quest for bannockburn I'd love too go and see the battle field,I really like Neil Oliver's documentry's the one he did on the Vikings and the history of Britain ones brilliant,he has a way of putting it across that's for sure,all facinating history the Bruce and the English kings in those days.

Kieran, the battlefield at Culloden is very eerie indeed. We were told that no birds nest or fly over the battlefield...and to this day I've never seen one yet - despite what must be terrific habitat for them.

If you do pop up....best get to the Highlands. Otherwise you are in just another city....although as Gatos said Edinburgh is a great place.

Coming down thru Glencoe gets the hair on the back of your neck standing....especially if you know the story of the clans i.e. The Campbells and the MacDonalds...centuries on they still hate each other lol..

Last time i went through Glencoe there were three camper vans blown over, well it was march. Love the part of the world.
