It runs!!!
Two HT leads were knackered and two were in the wrong place on the distributor. IMG-20210912-WA0003 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE It drive up on to ramps, one rear jacking point is rotten... if only someone was making those! But most of the rot is from the front half of the floor forwards. The drivers carpet is up at the moment and this was what greeted me. Yabba-dabba-doo! Shouldn't take you long to sort those out Luke!
Glad it's running, between two dead HT leads and two in the wrong place, it didn't have much hope of starting really!

My dad has been busy with the welding this morning.

The boot lock barrell wouldn't work so after a strip down it turned out to be seized in the tiniest bit of oxidation, a bit of a clean up, regreased and assembled and it is working perfectly now.
2021-09-24_09-03-29 by Luke Ryland - Flickr2BBcode LITE I also started stripping down the front end to get the front bumper off for welding up the front end. The bolts kept snapping and the drivers side headlight plug just wouldn't come out so I've had to cut the wires and they will need soldering back together once I've got the plug out of the headlight! I started it up and listened to it running, it is blowing badly on #3 where the manifold bolts to the head so I will need new manifold gaskets and a turbo oil drain seal. |

Nice work, thats alot less rusty than my 95 940.
Interesting, the AC intercooler is the same as the non-AC intercooler in the 940 (top entry). |
