Default Removing drivers door lock barrel

Hi all

Can someone please give me advice before I start accidentally breaking fragile plastic parts!

My driver's door lock was tampered with, and i'm trying to get the old lock barrel out...

(From the inside) I can see that there's a C-shape flat piece which slides in to hold the lock barrel against the door skin, but it's got turned-up tab ends, which receive screws from outside, so they will interfere with the plastic parts which are around the lock barrel - presumably a switch for the central locking.

Any clues how to remove the lock barrel?

Pic attached.

Thanks
John H

John: ~ you will have to remove the plastic mechanical/electric switch that surrounds the barrel- pull the wing that you can see (the piece sticking up) to one side, this will release the surround and you can then work the loom out if you wish. It is worth checking that this part is ok as the wires tend to Frey at the point of flexing (the switch can be serviced if done carefully)
Once the above is off the barrel you will see a “U” shape sliding clip that is pushed to one side- the barrel can then be pushed/pulled out quite easily.
The above clip should be held in place by two screws through the door side frame - seen as you open the door- may or may not be present.
Hope it helps Bob
