1970 1800E Front Tyre touching anti-roll bar on full lock
Any ideas? It was fouling when I first got the car and it was on 15x165 tyres. Now it's on 17x195. Problem has been kinda solved (thanks to 123GT) by impeding the lock slightly, but we still have an issue. Measuring to get the wider wheels on, the room is limited on the inside at the front as described above and limited on the outside at the rear by the outer wheel arch.
Tyres are not massively fatter than standard and rolling radius virtually unchanged. |

anti-roll bar touching tyres
Have you got the anti-roll bar on upside down?? If you have, as I did once (an easy mistake to make....!!) it will reduce the available steering lock.

Thanks Simon. I've been told that that is not such a rare mistake.
Luckily it is one of the few I haven't personally committed |
