Talking 1.8 timing belt

Hello,

I just bought my first car, the Volvo C30 1.8 petrol. The car is a beauty!
After a week I noticed that the engine has a timing belt. I thought the 1.8 engine has a chain. Could the engine have been modified? Or is this perhaps the 1.8 flexifuel?

Hope someone can help me clear things up.

The factory fitted 1.8 petrols (Inc flexi fuel) are definitely chain driven. They do have 2 aux belts though, one for the ac and one for everything else, could you be mistaking one of those for the cam belt? Either that or someone has swapped the engine our for something completely different, which seems unlikely.
