1.9D What oil
2002, 1.9D Turbo 115BHp, 132,000 miles
As per title? I have replaced the oil on my car with semisynthetic 10W-40 and planning to run the car with it for a week and then replace it with some better oil, ideally fully synthetic. I had some discussions with some member here and wanted to get a final answer of what is the best oil for my car. Some people have recommended fully-synthetic 5W-30 but other have said that it might be too thin for my engine and that I should opt for a semi 10W-40. What are the advantages/disadvantages using either? Thanks for any feedback

Have a V40 1.9 td 115 bhp myself and am currently running Halfrauds own brand 10-40 semi synthetic oil, no problems with it and because i have a trade card with them a £24 5 litre bottle of oil costs me about £14 so good allround. Oh and have done just shy of 155000 miles.
