Default 960 24v 3.0 lpg 124k miles

For sale much loved 960, which has been in the family for 15 years before which it was owned by an old gentleman who looked after it meticulously - when we bought it from him it was tucked away in his garage and was in absolutely mint condition and with main dealer history and had only done around 65k miles. We had it converted to LPG at a cost of £2200 with a brilliant system that seamlessly switches to gas and has the tank hidden under the floor where the spare wheel used to sit. My wife looked after the car for 10 years of its time with us before we gave it to our daughter under whose ownership it has suffered a few scrapes as you can see in the pictures. This is a real shame as it has been such a great car but young drivers and narrow car parks are not a good combination! Mechanically the 960 is in good order and has an MOT through until November this year. There is a load of history and receipts from the previous owner and from it's time with us when it has been serviced annually. The car is far from concourse condition - has the scrapes and is looking sorry for itself but it's far too good to not find a new home with someone who can look after it as it deserves. Please feel free to make sensible offers. We really want it to go to a good home.

Good luck with the sale, it’s an interesting looking car. I think if that was my daughter I would charge her for the damage 😂.

ha ha thank you! I just don't want it to go on Ebay and would rather someone on here who would appreciate it had it.

Alternatively, why not 'spin' it as patina, adding to the character of an already interesting car? Most of us will acquire a few knocks and bumps on our journey through life; a car is no different and this one wears it's battle scars with pride!

Regards, John.

Oh man, what a beauty. Those wounds aren’t too bad, and could be made good easily in the right hands. If it wasn’t for Covid kicking my line of work in the spuds constantly for the last two years I’d be the first with my hand in the air to make an offer. You’re only a little way up the road (in relative terms) too!

Good luck with the sale-I’ll keep my ear to the ground for anyone locally who might be interested in buying and taking proper care of the old girl.

I’m surprised it hasn’t had any bites. I know the saloons can be a harder sell than the estates, but it’s a lovely looking car and the LPG element is a plus given the skyrocketing fuel prices.

Can you give us a ballpark figure of what you’re looking to get for it?

Tricky to price such a thing. Body damage does unfortunately put a lot of people off.
I see the LPG system as a good plus point. Not everyone likes the idea.

Also interested if you have a ballpark figure.

Well I'm more interested in it being looked after than the money itself - I wouldn't want it to be sold only to then be broken up in parts - if it was I'm sure it would raise more than £2000.
