As mentioned in a couple recent posts I am trying to get all known estates onto an Excel database. Started over 3 years ago but have just got round to updating it via the DVLA site. Pretty tedious when you already have over 200 entries to recheck. DVLA also now has MOT details too but instead of the tax due date it will say if it's SORN. Had to add another column for MOT details. If it does that you can't tell when the tax was last due so more difficult to know when it was last on the road.

Several forum members have helped me out over the past 3 years with pictures and references to cars which appear for sale or have been spotted somewhere. Some pictures have been of cars that have been in the family and sometimes there is a bit of history to. If anything is known to me about the cars on the list I add this as a short note. Also current and past owners names if known. I'm aware of data protection etc but there isn't as far as I know anything there which can compromise anyone. I don't spread the info about but am happy to check to see if there are any details that would be useful to a new owner for example.
Of course I would like pictures of all of the cars on the database, even those long gone and unknown to the DVLA. I do have pics of Estates that were scrapped in the 80's so there are no limits. The list below is of cars I have no pictures of. A few will have changed numbers so I might have picture of one or other of the reg numbers. There are some that are currently taxed and MOT'd but I still don't have pics of them After the reg number there will be a date or code or both. The date is the date that's on the DVLA database as that when it was last taxed. If the car is unknown to them there will be NK after the number. This includes cars which have been officially scrapped and so removed from the database. Code T is Taxed and S is on SORN. There are a cople of other cryptic notes such as HAMP POL which means that the estate was on of 5 bought by the Hampshire police. First one was blue and the rest white. GAP5C is now on a Porsche 911 hence the P911 on that. If Gillberry reads this, have you put a private plate on yours?
Anyway, please have a browse through the reg numbers below and see if you recognise any of them. Owners of those which are taxed and on the road or very recently been on the rad might well be members here so I'd be pleased to hear from you, hopefully with one or several representative pictures of you car. How the car looks in the picture isn't that important especially the old ones. Wrecks or restored doesn't matter just so as all these new folder that I have created can get something added to them. I think there are 63 of them so please get to work. I'm pushing towards 200 folders with pics in at the moment which seems to add up to more than I have on the database so looks as if I might have made up folders for a few without adding them to the database! Another evenings work. That does mean that my figure of 65 taxed and 51 on SORN might well be revised upwards. That's a lot of Estates!

TPO824F used to belong to Tony and was green. LPG conversion and sold on and then bought by Gordon Hunter. Now with Dai Brace.

MGP375D was/is owned by Tony Miles. Could easily have sold it on and he has rally connections. It's taxed and MOT'd. Car is Dark Blue.

No the plate is original we traced the history through the DVLA she was first registered to the independent broadcasting company in London which could be why there were extra locks on all the doors, spent time in Wales and Birmingham before coming to Suffolk, we have details of all the previous owners and colour changes

I also have some rear tail gates which have come off cars one reg is on a tailgate so car broken maybe ?? In above list

NUV 663E is it above rings a bell bought from eBay ( rear tailgate ) from a chap in Hastings could be at least one more reg

One reply to cover all replies so far. Gillberry. My enquiry triggered by a typo in the database. I have your reg correct on the photo folder but had a 9 instead of a 3 in the database. Meant that with a 9 the DVLA said not known. Now corrected.
Rob. Thanks for those. Can't understand why I don't have MLY, as I've seen the pic of it sitting in the field by the caravan many times. Will add pictures to folder.

NUV663E I have as = Scrapped 25.4.06 by Gordon Hunter. You might have got the tailgate from him but he lived near Hastings I think before moving to the Midlands. Hastings is a bit of a hot bed for rusty Amazons.
