New V60 Owner's Handbook
Volvo don't supply an owner's handbook so if you want a hard copy you have to buy one. I 'phoned a dealer today to order one, but the cost is £30 including VAT. Needless to say I didn't bother.
My previous Hondas all came with comprehensive owner's handbooks. Volvos aren't cheap motors, so why can't Volvo provide one? |

In the past that £30 would of been hidden in the cost of the car. However volvo are now a prestige brand do the £30 is still hidden in the cost of the car, it's just you get nothing for it. Of course they will tell you it's all on line, fine if you have Internet connection and data allowance to read it when needed. Must admit I find mine useful and refer to it regularly, especially when fitting the detachable tow hook. Paul. |

The Volvo Manual app from App Store or Google Play is worth a download, very handy.
With the advent of the above, the online browser version and the version in the Senus system there just isn't any need for a printed version. Helps the green creds etc. Also, easier to update online ones with amendments etc.

A hard copy is essential when you are attempting to get to grips with a new car. The digital copy on the dash is useless if you have to keep referring to the instructions and the screen shuts down each time. A hard copy to refer to is essential, unless you have a photographic memory.

Agree with Robbie34.
If buying new insist on owners manual being supplied. If buying older used, its possible previous owner has not left it with the car. |

You can easily study the manual on line. You can print off any pages you think you might need and keep them with the car e.g. changing a wheel or jump starting. I still have the manual from a 1988 760 I used to have, 120 pages including index, and it was quite a sophisticated car I it's day. The online manual for my present V90 is 688 pages! The hard copy must be a pretty substantial document!
