Post Dash lights out

Had a good look for an answer but struggling... help pls 😁
So with key in Ignition of Volvo C30 d5 2010 (car can be running or not), when the door opens dash lights go off . When door closes and the the interior light goes out we are all back running again. So, turn the interior lights off and no dash lights. Nothing wrong with the interior light module (have tried 3 different ones)

Clearly some short somewhere- wondered if anyone ever had same problem?
Nb unusually get SRS airbag issue after faffing but it eventually goes out after perhaps 10 seconds.

Any help really appreciated

Update Sept 2021. Footwell lights do not operate. I thought it was just a bulb but appears they do not work at all. There must be a connection to the above problem i am having (Still!!) with the dash lights going out. Help?......

Default Help…. I need somebodY… not just anybody

@PhilFin - did you have any luck sorting dash?
I still h r my niggly issue, and whilst it doesn’t affect anything other than when getting out of the car (or passenger getting in) it’s bugging me a bit. Perhaps silly question but could it be the door locking module shorting out ?…
