Default Wiring Diagram

Afternoon all,

Further to my post re Speed Pulse I was wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram showing the Instrument Cluster wiring?

Jim very kindly e-mailed me a diagram of the rear of the instrument cluster showing where to find the output for the speed pulse. However, not wanting to remove the top of the dash in order to get to the back of the speedo, I am wondering if there's any shortcut available by way of attempting to tap straight into the speedo sensor.

Any help / suggestions appreciated.

Regards

Andy

Default RE: Wiring Diagram

Brian,

Thank you very much. Extremely useful. In the end I had to take the dash off and remove the instrument cluster to get a 12 pulse output but the diagram was very useful all the same.

One other thing it has highlighted - all the wiring is in place for a trip computer. My car doesn't have a computer but I'm guessing that if I simply obtain one from a scrap yard I'll be able to fit it and simply plug the pre-wired loom in and away I go. Excellent!

I also changed the instrument illumination bulbs because a couple were out. I now have a nice bright dash too.

Thanks again

Andy
