ABS Warning Light
I read a worrying article in the January issue of the VOC magazine about ABS problems on 850's. The article basically explained that contacts in the ABS ECU tend to crack from the underbonnet heat, which sends a fault signal that indicates the offside rear sensor is malfunctioning. I am getting an intermittent ABS light on the dash (which the dealer said was some dirt in the offside rear sensor) and am slightly worried, as the ABS ECU was quoted as costing about £275! I'm hoping that someone will have a cheaper solution to my problem. Please... ;)

RE: ABS Warning Light
If it is the ABS computer then any of the Volvo salvage yards will help you out and will be a lot cheaper than main dealer.
Whereabouts are you?

RE: ABS Warning Light
Its about time someone took a faulty ABS controller apart to see what the problem is. If its just a dry joint or cracked track then a few minutes with a soldering iron would fix it.
