Default Buying V70 - what should i be looking for...

I am off to see three V70's tomorrow, all high mile (100k-120k), one owner, full volvo service history. All three are 2.4's, all manual, two SE, one S. All are cheap - read 6k-7.5k, 2000 W or X platers

Any specific things i should look out for or ask about, relative to V70's?

I am hoping which ever car of the three I buy I will blag a service out of - but what about timing-belts? How often and how much? (am going to phone another Volvo specialist in morning for this but am just interested.

Also, anyone recomend a good independant Volvo garage in Sheffield for servicing?

Thanks

Matt

Default RE: Buying V70 - what should i be looking for...

I hope you arent going to look at the ones in Bradford !

Elite cars have a manual Blue 2.4SE which they say has 120K and is immaculate - actually had 155K and had been in a light crash - look at the alignment of the rear passenger door and the paintwork on the sill - had a power steering leak as well.
I didnt look at the auto one they had.

Company cars 4 u have a burgundy one which is also described as immaculate but has been keyed on both sides. They also seemed confused about the miles....
