Robert thanks for the info

I'd like to stay on topic however. I just explained that the LS series Chevrolet engines are VERY scarce and expensive over here and that I am going to be putting a 1uzfe engine in my Amazon.

Again to repeat myself, I'm not in a position to buy your kit. It's awesome, well crafted obviously and I've loved reading about it as it has developed but I'd really like to keep my thread on topic.

Cheers!

How expensive are they? Is there a problem importing them to your area? I get some pretty aswome deals on complete engine packages, with all the electrics, that I can help out with..

Nope, no problem importing, freight is insanely expensive and people charge anywhere between 2 to 4k euro's for them over here. Sometimes with transmissions, sometimes without vs. ENTIRE Lexus LS400 for under 1500,- running can get EVERYTHING I need off it. As opposed to buying a loose motor which ALWAYS has a ton of little things you need missing. Soooooooo, TOYO/LEXUS it is! Let me put it this way, at no point have I considered an Chevy LS series engine for this project, other projects yes, and may do so, NOT for this one.

So that's a no go, off the table non option.

But I digress:

1UZFE

What are the manual trans options Poopy? I'm assuming that's your plan of attack?

Main two options are the R154 turbo supra trans or the W58 non turbo supra trans. Both have many adapters available. My friend is now making the W58 adapters out of aluminum for under $300 Canadian.

I am using a hydraulic release bearing for the clutch from a camaro, im sure there is something over there you could find that is similar.

Then you need a flywheel, quite a few options on the internet available for that as well.

I just started stripping my 1uz down tonight to get parts ready for powder coating.

These guys look like they know what they're doing.

This looks like a great kit, maybe a little expensive, but everything is there.

Any chance you could post some pics of the sump from side on, engine mounting arrangement and the front crossmember. Would like to see how it could be mounted with a front crossmember like the Amazon's or MX5 (Miata). I have a project to get back on next year and the Yota engine could be an option.
