Default Clutch woes

I am at moment changing clutch in my 2007 2.4D S60 SE 45K miles. I am having a problem with which Flywheel has it 5 teeth or 6 teeth ? In europarts it lists both for my reg.
Mechanic asked me to get control valve and release bearing both are not listed also I see on here to replace coreplug (not listed) . What Hydraulic parts should be replaced ?
Please advise I don’t want to go through all this again

Same school of thought as my better half. "you've been had"
Bought last Aug with impeccable history from main dealer. Researched owner and found he had 2 places of work within 4 miles of his home and no other driving involved in his work. No hitch fitted and boot looked as if it had never been opened.
Strangely no clutch plate wear but a lot of play in the dmf and "fingers" on clutch cover all bent. No clutch slip ever and sudden onset.
My driving style ? averaged 35k/year for 35 years on 20 cars(all bought new) and never had a clutch fail.
All comments welcome and thanks Cheshired5 for you reply

Riding the clutch, rather than using the handbrake, is apparently something that DMF's aren't very tolerant of. I wonder if he was driving everywhere with his foot resting on the clutch pedal?

You must be imagining it, dual mass flywheels don't go wrong, either that or its the drivers fault. Whichever it is I hope your garage is better than mine, I've now got a new clutch and flywheel that came with a built in "clonk" on pull away and deceleration. (I'm still not a happy bunny Cheshired5).

Lol. I feel both your pains but you're still very much in the minority with your premature failures and you both have the unknown factor of how your cars were driven by their previous owners.
I had that unknown factor too and didn't even meet the previous owner as I bought from a trader on eBay.
I just had a good gut feeling about the car but I couldn't know for certain.
Buying a used car has its pitfalls but so does new car ownership.
Basically, cars in general have their pitfalls.
