photoshop guru required
Having just purchased a set of Comets for the 854 I now need to decide what colour to have them refurbished in. Do i go for the silver or anthracite? I would really appreciate it if someone could photoshop both versions on to the pic below. Or alternatively, one from here:http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v387/Roo/Volvo%20850/
Thanks! Opinions welcome too btw!

Hi Roo
Without playing on Photoshop my immediate personal preference would be anthracite for your car

maybe i should have done a poll! Anthracite does appear to be the common preference but as its potentially an expensive mistake to make I want to be 100% certain I make the right colour chioce.

Best I can do - the silver ones are perhaps too bright. |

Does it have to be one or the other?? I know it is slightly common but Black Alloy's would be nice, maybe with a slight white part on the diag's that are 'off' each spoke...just my 2 cents.

I was going to post this opinion myself, that is as to both neither matching quite as well as the original colour wheels top picture, what other colour options are there? Just my personal opinion of course, but you did ask for our views!

I think silver or white wheels on a white car looks pretty boring, yet being a white car the wheels have soo much potential to look awesome!
Anthracite is definitely the way to go, regardless of what alloys you decide to fit on the car. Anthracite is a popular colour for wheels, but how many cars with this wheel colour are actually white? Black is also a really sweet contrasting colour, but doesn't always look right - this is easily overcome by leaving the edge of the rim silver, or on an older car fitting white walls! Sometimes gloss black wheels can look tacky, where-as mat black doesn't do any favors. Alternatively if you didn't want to turn to the dark side you could go for a nice glossy solid mid-grey. I'm not at home much at the minute otherwise I'd help you out with them photoshops. |
