245 buzzing noise when key is inserted in ignition

Hi again, and apologies for the barrage of posts.

Every time I put the key into the ignition, a loud buzzing comes from inside the console. Even when ignition is off. Pull the key out, it stops.

Anybody know what that's about, and how to stop it?

Good Afternoon
If it only buzzes with key in ignition when you open the driver’s door, I remember the early 240 series cars came with this as reminder that key was still in the ignition.

I had one of those. I found it so irritating I disconnected the buzzer. Fortunately Volvo quickly discontinued the feature.

Many of us have made this mistake with 244/245s
