Default Front Foglight Gone?

My front foglights haven't been working since I purchased the car, I think. I pulled to bulbs out today with the intention of replacing them, but the filament didn't seem broken. I don't know much about bulbs at all so was wondering if anyone can advise based on the pictures if it looks broken?

Are the fogs actually wired or has someone forgot to reconnect them after a bumper removal?

Turn on your fog lights and stick a multimeter on the bulb holder contacts.
More reliable than online bulb analysis.

Does the little green light next to the switch come one when you press the switch?

I wouldn't bother with them, they're completely useless anyway.

Do I recall that yours is an XC70? If so and you get them to work, there's an adjuster which 2 turns to increase the beam a little transforms them from being useless to acceptable

Sorry no but there are lots of great multimeter basics videos on YouTube and you can pick up a good enough meter for £10-15 and they pay for themselves almost instantly.
Maplins have a nice range at good prices.
