6mm - it is quite small with a thick wall that takes it up to about 12mm OD.

That's excellent news, forgot about this post lol.

Now just gotta find a 6mm 3way valve. 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Thank you very much for the info. 😇

This could be a useful post as my headlamp washers don't work either.

How is the pump accessed ?

Thanks !

Front bumper off. I think you MIGHT be able to REALLY struggle and get in at it with the bumper on but the bottom air damn/splash guard removed but the water connection would be a pig to undo so I really recommend removing the bumper for the sake of 8 reusable plastic rivets, 4 torx screws and 2 13mm bolts.

If you look at this image (don't worry, you don't need to remove the headlight) you can see the milky coloured pipe coming up from the bottom left, that's from the pump - it should be black but I replaced mine with that clear nylon pipe as my old pipe was brittle.

The union has press in lugs that disengage the union then it pulls off, then undo the electrical connection and the pump will then rotate so the output pipe sticks down then just pull it out.

If it's like mine it will sound like someone has emptied sand into it and makes a fantastic music instrument.

I used a ford Galaxy one as mentioned above and it cost about £16 delivered. The pipework was changed for 8bar Nylon chemical resistant pipe simply because I had some dodgy bits of pipe and odd connections.

Bumper removal is quite easy really. Plenty of posts here on how too.
Just don't forget to remove fog light leads before you walk away with it. 🤕🤕🤕.

10 minutes to remove the bumper, honestly it's dead simple.

Default Testing the headlight washers V70 phase 2

Do V70's headlight washer pumps only operate once every 5 operations of the screen washers, like the S60 phase 2's ?

Yes, but the counter restarts each time you switch on ignition, so if I go out now and switch it on and pull the stalk for washers I will get the headlights too - if I then switch off and back on and go to wash the windscreen I will get the headlights again.

Also, I noticed that with my headlights off, on my first wash from ignition on, I get windscreen and I get the headlights done as normal. If I then turn the headlights on, and go to wash, I will get the headlights again, so twice in a row, so it obviously takes a signal from the headlights and gives them an extra clean, but then it reverts to every 5 times.

Sorry for the thread revival.. just got round to replacing the headlight pump with the vauxhall one..
However just discovered the one way valve is blocked... Did anyone come up with a solution to this? Can't find the part number for it either.
