Here are the RR results for a standard 480 turbo auto!

I don't see how his 440 n/a could do 150mph, Anyways when I get back from NZ I'll be taking the 480t down to Power Engineering for another test with auto and T25 and rich mod then later on with a manual and T25 and rich mod.

This thread makes me laugh.

I remember there was a guy at college in 1991 who had his first car. It was a fiesta 1.1 standard and he told everyone it would do 140mph. Now all of us that have ever driven one knows that 70mph was a struggle. My brother had a V8 Vitesse at the time which produced 190bhp and that would not go much over 140mph.

There is no way unless someone had shoved a T5 under the bonnet of that 440 it would do those speeds. And further to that, the standard auto box would self destruct if that amount of hp/torque was unleashed on it.

If you put some good quality pics of the engine bay on here it would be interesting.

lol, I got an indicated 135 out of a vectra 1.8 SRI (current shape) and the MPG got down to 7.1, it wouldn't go any lower. Now I own a T5, I often see the MPG go down to quite a bit less than that lol

This whole thread must've been a wind-up. "carmagedon" only posted 5 posts all on this thread, joins on march 10th starts this thread, last activity march 15th. Saying that though, I got 215mph out of my T4 the other day, but as it was off the clock by then the only way I could tell was by sticking my finger out the window and calculating the speed from the amount of air I felt flow past...

Of course it was a load of boll*cks. 'Please help, my car is too fast'. Our survey says! X

I've got a 480 Turbo-the 1.7 Turbo lump. It goes off the clock, but only because i've had an ECU re-map...and even then i very much doubt it would hit 150! If it's a GLT, it's a 2.0i which is only 110bhp-plus auto's lose a bit of power, and it's done 150k +...

I had heard about those resistor changes on eBay though. Perhaps someone bout 10 and soldered them together, giving the car about 200 BHP, and we just don't know it...
