Volvo 700 Series

Hello to you all,
As you can see this is my first posting on the forum,hopefully the first of many.
At present i am the owner of 2 Volvos,a 2.3cc 740gle 1988 E reg with a genuine 74,000 miles on the clock (a lovely vehicle), I also have a 1988 E reg 760 with the V6 engine, it has covered 173,000 miles but still drives like new.The problem i have is that one of them has to go and i'm torn between the two, i was hoping for some advice/views on which one i should keep, i'm sure one or more of you would be able to help me make this decission,although i might add that finances are not a consideration as i like both of the cars very much but for different reasons.

My self, I would ditch the 760 as these engines are more expensive to run and repair, the B230E is a more reliable engine and your 740 has covered fewer miles.

Keep 740 best car volvo ever made. Good old simple mechanics, easy to get parts and reliable. 180k and only ever been let down once when water pump blew itself abroad. Cheers Nigel

Thanks to you all for the advice, I think if i,m honest i knew it would make more sense to keep the 740, I just needed to hear it from people with more experience of these vehicles,thanks again.
With that matter decided I intend to put the 760 in the sale section of the forum,I have however noticed by reading through the forums that not everyone is happy with the sellers not responding, so i will do my level best to provide as much info as possible.
