Looking for engine number...

Applying for certificate of export from the DVLA and need the engine number. Where is it? I cannot see it on the block. Mine is a B230ET in a 1988 UK spec 745 TIC.

should be just past the thermostat housing , look down onto the block , a lump sticks out with it written on , you may have to clean it . Does it not exist on the paperwork anywhere ?
