Default Steering pulling to kerbside 940 estate

My car seems to have developed a tendency to pull towards the kerb. Shocks etc are new, new steering rack, all bushes seem AOK with no shredding or cracking.Tyres are new. The ball joints appear to have zero play in them. Wheel bearings have no play, tracking is AOK. This leaves me thinking that the problem may be in the back end i.e. rear bushings. Measuring the wheel rim to body results in a half centimeter difference. There has been a ''crack'' sound from the drivers side under the rear seat. This leaves me to think that the bush on the trailing arm attached to the body may be failing allowing the axle on one side to slide back a fraction so causing the car to crab. ps new shocks on the rear and all tight on the nuts. Any way of checking this bush on the trailing arm ? Ive never heard of them failing before or am I just barking up the wrong tree. Cheers Nigel

I would be inclined to check out the rear subframe and torque rods for mounting problems and the Panhard rod for wear on bushings or loose mountings. If the Panhard rod has a problem it will alter the relative distance from centre of the axle as it fits to the underside of the body on one side and the axle on the other. If the rear subframe has a mounting problem it can lengthen the axle's distance from the forward mounts on the right side of the car thus sending the car into the kerb.

All the best, Peter.
