850 T5 Saloon Auto
Think I'm going to have to sell my 1996 850 CD Auto Saloon in 418 regent red metallic. Only reason for sale is I don't use it.
Good stuff: -Will have 12 months MOT at sale, for which I will fit 2 new rain sport 3 tyres on the front to match the new ones on the rear. -17" Comets -Bilstein B4 shocks and Eibach springs -HD drop links -Strut Brace -302mm front brakes -Do88 silicone boost hoses -Comprehensive stage 0 late last year Inc. PCV, cambelt, aux belt, plugs leads, dizzy, rotor, TCV, all vac hoses. -New alternator -Rear main seal replaced (fair old job on an auto) -Gearbox flushed -Turbo return seal replaced -Both front arms replaced -Over £800 of alpine sound system, Head unit, front door and dash tweeters, rear door speakers, custom made sub enclose in boot to fit snug between the arches with Alpine type R sub powered by Alpine MRD 501 amp. Probably more I've forgotten. Bad bits: -Body work is acceptable bit has marks around it and some lacquer peel on the spoiler. Nothing is real bad and it polishes up nice. A good 10ft car. -Odometer stopped at 143k. Car has ~160k -ABS unit needs replacing (I might get around to this) -Interior is average, no tears to leather. To sum up, it's a mechanically sound car that drives brilliantly, not a show queen but perfectly acceptable. As said it will have 12 months MOT and a service before the sale. I'll send pics if requested. I'm not in a hurry to sell, or that worried if it doesn't to be honest. Price: £1300 ono

Nice colour combo. I had the same myself once.
Reminds me of my 1st 850 T5 i bought approx 12 years ago. Back then, my car only had 72 000 miles on it. I didnt keep it long, because i really needed an estate...in fact, virtually all my Volvos over the years were estates/wagons. With 4 kids at that time, estates were just more practical for my purposes. Just showed your car to my 16 year old son...he likes it a lot He told me to buy it..............but i already have an 850 T5 estate...and i dont really wanna sell my C70 GT T5 either. Good luck with the sale, now you have put up some photos, you will probably get a better response. Cheers Paul. |
