Cars for sale in CCW

For those to whom it may be of interest, the following cars are all offered for sale in this week's (04/12) paper:

1995 960 Saloon in Gloucestershire at £2500
2003 V70 D5 in Bristol at £1450
1998 V70 AWD Mk1 in Derbyshire at £1750
1998 V70 R Auto Diesel in Preston at £1997
1973 145 in Huntington at £8450

1989 740 Auto Estate in Bexleyheath at £980 ono
1993 940 Wentworth Saloon in Norfolk at £650 obo

I do not know anything about any of these cars other than that which is in the advertisement. They are nothing to do with me, but mindful of members' interests, I'm happy to post them up on here from time to time if it might be useful?

I would respectfully suggest that if you are interested in any of the above cars you should invest £2.80 in a copy of the paper and make your own enquiries. If you're really stuck and can't access a copy, drop me a PM and I'll do my best to help.

The V70 R is a bit of an odd one as-so I've been told on here-they never did an R with a diesel motor? It has been on sale to my knowledge for quite some weeks now.

That's what I thought too, 'DD', but that's what it says in the ad! Perhaps a previous owner has modified the car to look like an 'R', and the present owner doesn't know what they have, although the V5 should give them a clue!

Perhaps it's a bit end'y John and the owner is hoping to shift it on to some unsuspecting bu99er who thinks all diesels sound like that!

I'll admit that I'm not a real guru; but some of those prices do seem to be a little higher that some I've seen in other places.

Perhaps they're relying to much on the gravitas of the first 'C' in CCW! Or, maybe, they are worth that much. I've never invested in CCW. I doubt anywhere in my village sells it. No. I don't doubt... I know!

I get my copy on subscription, 'CTA'; it's cheaper that way, too. I've got about 16 years worth - in six month parcels - for disposal if anyone is interested and is prepared to collect them from North Leicestershire. All or nothing, I'm afraid, and a modest donation to our church would be nice.
