Gearbox Software update

I took a call from my supplying dealer last week. My XC90 was built on the 25th August, and I picked it up on the 23rd Sep.

They said that there was a software update for the gearbox, something to do with aggressive downshifts.

Has anyone had this done and know anything more about what this is about ?

Hi

Had my recall carried out last week. Was told that car could drop down from 5th to 3rd without warning, hence recall!

Cannot really tell if the car/gearbox feels any difference with the recall carried out. So difficult to tell you any more.
