Engine management light
quick question, should our cars fail an MOT if an EML were lit? Is there a date when a newer car would be a fail, but an older car would not?

I thought it applied to cars registered from 1st July 2003 for petrol engines and
1st July 2008 for diesels... But the mot inspector manual says it will fail...see section 8, page 9 https://assets.publishing.service.go...2018-draft.pdf
