Default Low fuel.......

Quick Q....

On my way to the office Imy low fuel light started to glow. As I have to travel 30 miles to the office I thought I'd better put some in. My question is...... Could I have waited? The petrol station across the road from the office is very cheap, the car runs well on their fuel, and it's just a nice, full service petrol station. As it is I had to wait in line on an M'Way petrol station and was 10 later arriving in the office.

How much warning to x40's give? My 440 would go for 100km's when 'empty', but then the 'empty' red part of the guage was nearly a wuater of the gauge, and not just a line at the bottom. Anyone?

Cheers

Stu

Much impressed though - 650km's before the light came on.

Do you have the computer thing installed?

If you do it will give a visible warning as well.

From memory when the little light comes on the Range Warning comes on saying 25 miles (I think) and flashes as it drops down in 5mph bits.

Unfortunately no computer - just an old fashioned fuel guage with yellow LED (I assume) warning light. I wonder if it is set to be the same though......

It should tell you in the manual how many litres are left when the light comes on.
Can't remember off the top of my head.

Cheers,
Dan.
