Default Wing mirror repair

Does anyone know how to take these apart ? I've recently brought a secondhand mirror from someone on eBay for £160, changed it on the car, and to find out to my annoyance that the electrical adjustment only works for the up n down angle and not the in and out 😡 I can't take it back to where I brought it ( local to me ) because I didn't do it through eBay (I know silly me) So my theory is to make a good one out of the two. But I can't figure out how to split the cover/housing .

I'm hoping some of you might have some ideas

Thanks in advance,

Paul

Pretty sure the rear cover just peels off.

Mine are completely stuffed, they have screws holding the glass in place for some reason (been there since I bought the car)

Thanks Rob, my plan is to use the adjustment motors/guts out of my old one as it's just the casing is smashed and put them into the new one. I've gotta try and split the casing/cover and take off the mirror lens without cracking it lol

If it were me i'd try and get the part off which holds the mirror on and use a heat gun/hairdryer to heat the glue and peel it off gently
