Default XC90 2006 awd brakes ?

The problem with the Volvo XC90. when the reverse and braking is pressed, there is a heavy ripple behind what can be the result? Without the brake, no sound is heard.
I'm sorry for my bad english.

The rear brakes are now checked and cleaned, no fault found. Now it feels that the sound comes from the front brake, on the right. Is there anything in this model that can make a sound?

Many things:
  • Contaminated brake pads and/or brake discs
  • Worn brake pads and/or brake discs
  • Loose fixing bolts for brake pads and/or brake discs
  • Warped brake discs
  • Wheels not mounted securely
  • Wheel wheel mating surface to brake disc surface not smooth and clean causing bad mating
  • Loose or worn suspension and/or steering components

Basically, anything that moves and wears can cause noise and vibration under braking. All depends on how worn it is.

So check the whole front end suspension and steering when on a hoist, and remove the wheels and closely inspect the brake discs and pads.
Check for wear beyond allowed limits.

The rear brakes are now cleaned and greased, working silently. The front brakes next.

I had a grating/scraping noise come from the front left on my 2003 XC90 D5 when I braked, But the noise only came in the last second of braking just before the car stopped. The noise also came if I pulled out of a T junction on a slight incline. MOT guy said wishbone bushes looked suspect and I checked there was some movement so I changed them - it did not cure the problem. Turned out to be the lower right engine mount just under the crank pulley. Changed that and fine.

The car is new to me before the v70 model. Now the sounds run out and work well.
New questions about that heating device in the thread.
