The worst part of the job is cleaning the cooling system out , How well did you do it? Did you change all the rubber hoses ? I had to flush the sytem 10 times with a chemical cleaner before it was 90% clean

Hi
I've got a 2004 V50 2.0D in limp mode with a permanent 'exhaust pressure' fault code my indy mechanic can't wipe, can anyone help?

Located Forest Row but can travel locally for assistance. (I've messaged 2 local people)

Thanks

Default vida help north yorks needed

Hello I have started a thread on this, so just trying to get help from some one with vida, im near thirsk, I know petey80 is close but I cant pm him .
This is my thread if anyone can help, I dont want to start a multiple thread, just giving the story.
Using 2ltr of oil every 1000miles now DPF always full
My dads V70 d5 2006 e4 has been getting worse, it started using more oil to the point that it is 2 litres per 1000 miles, no signs of leakage, did have a spray on the inlet side of turbo but tightened hose up and fine since, though oil use worse. The car has always smelt crankasey, though the glove test is fine for suction. Also the mpg has dropped from 42 to 35, now the dpf is constantly re filling, despite plenty of heat through it.
I have a generic elm ob11 with torque, showing dpf and maf codes , but I know they are not specific.
I am looking to get the piston pressures read to see if that is were the oil is going! I am hoping it is something simple like a faulty dpf differential pressure sensor(ordered), as clan mentioned it has similar symptoms. Other wise turbo seals or vale stem guides.
Does anyone else have experiance of these symptoms. I have read hours worth of threads.
Thanks

Hello mate, I don't think my inbox is full, do you not have a high enough post count??

I'd be happy to help where I can with a Vida connect and see what we can see.

I'll PM you and hopefully you can see it.

Could be a faulty DPF pressure sensor or temp sensor, you need to get it on VIDA.
These sensors would prevent the ECU kicking off a DPF re-generation.

Would the Vida/dice work on establishing noises from the engine or does it have to be electrical problems etc...if so I would be ever so grateful if sparkey Steve could diagnose my car for me as according to the map your only 5 minutes away from me 😁
