Smile Volvo V70 Alarm and ABS module

I have just sent this to ECUsolutionwales who I would recommend to anyone with ABS module problems. This unit suffers from dry joints and is is a sealed box under the base of the air filter. Symptoms are a warning brake failure stop immediately etc which are spurious.

Very good news my Volvo has been working perfectly after you repair and amazing quick service and passed its MOT last week.

After I first fitted the unit the brake warning had gone but the engine emissions warning persisted for a few journeys but then also disappeared.

This all started about 8 years ago because the alarm was not working when the 4 year old car was purchased. This was due to an exhausted internal rechargeable battery which was drawing 0.2 amps 24h/d 365 days a year. The main lead acid batteries lasted only 18 months for years due to this. The problem with the ABS unit started when a new alarm unit was fitted and a larger main battery was installed about a year ago, probably it got its right voltage and current for the first time in 9 years and the contacts failed.
