Default 2004 - 2.5Dsl - Transmission removal

I have a problem with the auto transmission on my XC90 so needs to come out.

Am I best removing taking the engine and gearbox out or just the gearbox on its own.

Any advice would be appreciated.........dont' suppose anyone knows where I can find an online service manual for when I do the job.

Thanks

Lower the subframe until you can get the gearbox out the side.

Hi,

Bruce here...I have a 2004 XC90 T6 gearbox to remove so I can rebuild the 4T65EV transmission with beefed up parts. Is it true I need to drop the frame to get it out of the car?

Do you think the VADIS instructions you have will work on my model also? If so, I would be ever so grateful if you could forward them to me at brucegolson@hotmail.com.

Thank you in advance.

Cheers, Bruce
