Default Volvo v50 Metal dog guard with hydrolics

I am downsizing my xc90 to a v50 and noticed that some v50s have dog guard with hydraulics, so you can lift it when not in use. Does anyone know the part number or whether dog guards from the other models will fit in? thank you

wonder what advantages yours have over netting...

thanks

I'll try posting pictures once it's fitted. Had made an attempt no1 but think I need the help of DH to do that. Our dog squeezes past the net, so we need something more sturdier to stop her from coming through.

ah, ok so its like next level of dog guard system then
Post pictures please when you can, thanks, interested to see it mounted.

ps - I found out the best way to stop my dog to mess around is a combo of extended net plus the plastic shelf that I have (with luggage cover) as it prevents her from getting even close to the net openings. just the snout in the gap

I've got a very determined standard schnauzer, so unless there's a metal grid to stop her, she'll wriggle her way in, no matter what. I'll keep you posted! Might have to wait till weekend though, as DH is working long hrs just now.

I had this on my XC60. Its a proper metal guard from Volvo and fits nicely between the back of the seats and the load cover when in place.

Beauty is you can retract it to the roof when you need to. Doesnt go flush with the roof though so you do loose a little height when retracted.

def recommend. I've had to install a fixed one in the Audi, although wouldnt take too long to dismantle.
