Default Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2

Has anyone tried the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 on the V70?

It's a little cheaper than the Continental Premium Contact 6 that I'm considering as an alternative - and also a fair bit quieter (appreciating that the rating is for external - not cabin - noise).

It's ranked second to the Continental in this year's Auto Bild summer test of the V70's 225 50 17 size, so I guess there isn't much in it, but I'd be interested in any reports of either.

Thanks in anticipation.

Have a set on my V70 T6 AWD. Brilliant. Wouldn't have anything else.

Now fitted, and I agree. The ride is firmer but for the first time there was a modicum of pleasure to be had from hustling the V70 D5 down a fast B road. The turn in and balance (even with the pressures reduced to 32lbs to offset the ride) are greatly improved, compared to the SP Sports they replaced. Very surprising, given that - despite the name - the tread pattern looks distinctly un-sporting. Almost as though a new set of high spec dampers had been fitted.

Fantastic tyres.

When I bought my s80 it came with Dunlop sport maxx 1 on all corners. Since then Iv tried Dunlop SP winter sports and also some continental sportcontact 2.

Neither of them are as good as the dunlop sport maxx
