V70: Electrical - New key

Somehow managed to loose my spare key, what’s the process... presume it’s a main dealer thing and quite costly!

Yes, the keys are quite costly. Especially if it's a PCM, used for cars with the keyless system.

You visit a Volvo dealer, purchase a new key and then have the programming of the car done. In that process, the lost key is removed from the car's memory (so no-one who perhaps finds it, or stole it, can use it in the future) and the new key is added.

The car can accept up to six keys at the same time.
