Volvo V70 1998 Replace Rear Door Check strap

Hi all

On a V70 1998 I cannot see how to replace a rear door check strap.

I know how to do the check straps on the front doors, but I don't think I have ever done a rear. Do I have to loosen the window motor panel to gain access?

Hi all,

OK worked it out. I undid the 8 x 10mm bolts that hold in the window motor panel, but it wouldn't lift away.

Removed the speaker.

Then noticed that I could reach up to the check strap through the hole behind the speaker.

Part numbers for front and rear check straps (for my 1997 V70) according to VIDA are
9203196 Door stop, front, l.h.
9187591 Door stop, front, r.h.
9187592 Door stop, rear

PS I believe C70 uses 9187591 for both front doors
