Default immobiliser see manual

Hi,

Looking for help with the following on a 2007 V50 D5 with the ‘immobiliser see manual’ message.

Steps taken so far

—-
CEM removed, all fuses continuity checked, connections/relays cleaned with contact cleaner

Battery removed and charged

Battery earth and connections cleaned up

Under bonnet fuses - all continuity checked and relays cleaned with contact cleaner

Locked / unlocked 5 times then ignition 1-3 5 times, attempting to start on the 6th
——

Still no luck starting. I am planning to clean up the starter earth strap too (any tips on where it is, struggling to see from the top, probably better underneath.

Anything else I can try before I see about getting it recovered to Volvo for a VIDA ECM/immobiliser resync ?

Thanks

Codes read on VIDA, results below;

BCM-0100 Communication between control units Communicational problems with ECM
CCM-0040 Air quality sensor Internal Fault
CEM-4F33 Battery Temperature Faulty Signal
CEM-6C30 Siren Internal Fault
CEM-DE11 Communication with ECM control module Signal missing
EPS-0082 Engine status Faulty signal

Any help deciphering these would be appreciated.

Hi
Just looking at the codes,
Could the alarm error be causing the immobiliser issue?
Also if you have Vida it can guide you through the faultfinding of each error.

Thanks Iain, solid advice will do.

It has been suggested the ECM is dead, how can i confirm this?

Obviously a replacement could be fitted , but whats involved? I guess its needs recoding?

Could it be the SCU (ignition switch - given the errors above)?

When my ignition switch failed it said something like "Key error try again"

I did get the car going by thumping the dash whilst I turned the key. I did change the switch the next day and had no problems since.
I believe an alarm unit is not coded.

I have been through further diagnostics in VIDA and 'CEM-DE11 Communication with ECM control module Signal missing' seems the key error which is pointing to the ECU being the issue...investigations continue..

I have managed to crank the engine by bridging the starter relay, the battery quickly ran out of puff so it’s currently on an overnight charge in the hope that it may start in the morning.

If not I have an auto electrician who I will call into action.

Anything else I can try ?

I am struggling to understand the wiring diagram to see where the positive to ECM is, no luck so far.
