Default Radiator leak - which replacement? £1,000 part?

My 2013 XC90 2.5T radiator is leaking so was looking to replace it. Volvo asking around £1,000 for the replacement part (no labour). Seems excessive.

I have found 2 radiators on Amazon that will ship here - anyone know if they are decent / suitable?

Thanks

Hi, mine is much earlier model but I have used nissens radiator, nissens ac condenser and nissens ac pump.

All were fine and my indie told me no issues when fitting.

So nissens my recommendation if they make a compatible unit.

Hope this helps

Please see link on eBay uk.

It appears to be shipped from germany. not sure if this makes shipping easier. In the shipping notes covid restrictions it indicates it will be shipped to china, but may be a week delay.

Good luck!

When I lived in HK you could get anything repaired, times must have changed!
Have you seen about getting the existing one repaired/recored?

If it is leaking around the side tank-to-core joint nothing lost by trying a can of K-Seal , very successful in most cases .. it works differently to Rad-Weld ...

Same for me. I know HK has changed quite a bit since I left, but the old backstreets of Yaumatei and Wanchai used have quite a few car repairers, North Point too. I'm sure you could find one or two still about.

Assuming yours is the auto you need to be very careful that whatever repairs are made, they are top quality as you do not want the gearbox fluids mixing with water and trashing the box.

Thanks. Good point.

Would that be a requirement of getting a decent radiator? From what I can see there are two connections which look straight forward for the transmission fluid.
