Internal Screens / Dials - Night to Day Lighting
How do the dials and screens know when to change from night to day lighting?
I thought it was linked to the headlights but they were still on the main beam. Cheers

I think it is a sensor built in to the little red led in the center of the dash.
There was a thread some time ago from a guy in a very sunny countr who had covered the whole dash with carpet, to prevent the sun cracking the dash surface, and could not understand why the dash lights were always dim. Easy to verify just put something over the led and see what happens?
