You cant use an OBD2 lead as your car isnt compliant(they became compliant in MY2000). That leaves you with Vadis and the volvo diagnostic unit VCT2000(which is way too much money even if you find one). Your pretty much stuck with going to a Volvo specialist I would say.

Can I link a laptop with Vadis / VCT2000 installed to a V70 post 2000 via a OBD2 cable?

Would this allow me to "talk to my car"?

I use an OBDII to USB lead on my 1.8 '97 S40 with no problems. You want to download Vol-Fcr 1.3 (cracked version).

Hi there,

Is there any software for ODB2 V40 2001 cars?

Vol-Fcr doesn't look like it goes into the ODB2 era.

Cheers,

Daniel.

vadis and VCT 2000 won't work on a 1997 v40 you need the handheld VST
