Hi,
Just a quick update.
I wont be collecting the car back from the garage until the weekend of the 3rd October.
Once i get her back i will give her clean up and then make contact with all who were interested to see if they want to come and see it etc
Thanks for your patience!
Neil

morning Neil, thank you for the update .
if it helps I am in Dumford Hollow , in Midhurst and Farnborough on the 1st October to see a lady of on a journey from GB to Australia in a biplane a recreation of an historic flight. So if it is of use could divert (would really like to see it anyway).
My old V40 (15years) has given up the ghost but at 215k was good, the V70 (7years) at 200k is still strong and the works V50 a little tired at 160k (but not really a Volvo a ford).
I have been looking for a very long while for a T5R to keep and restore.

I think that this car would be better off being sold to a forum member with a known interest in these cars, all these new members asking to buy it, i'd be wary of where it was going.

Hi yes , could not agree more in many respects.
what is vitally important is that the car is kept and remains in the domain and is simply not just traded on for someone trying to make a fast buck.

I am old school (unfortunately now in my sixties) and have driven Volvos for far too many years from 1 series to 2,3,4, S60/80, etc and even an old 121. I believe with the classic car market there are far too many people who are now hyping up the prices because investors have entered the market but do not really like the cars or anything its just a way of making money.
I have an old Triumph TR5 which I have had for some 20+ years now and its great (but probably getting too old for now) but again because of its rarity could not afford to replace today - they are worth absolutely silly monies.

it is to me even if I cant buy it -it should go to a good home !

Hi Guys,
Well i also agree and really would like this to go to a good Volvo home and for the buyer to look after it and enjoy it. I have three Volvo's at present and its all getting out of hand, i have a problem it would seem!
I will be getting it back next weekend (hopefully) and i can then give it a clean post some up to date pics and arrange for viewings if people still want to see it.
Cheers
Neil
