Default Lower front balljoint swap xc70 2011

did the xc70 advisory from its mot today...bought just the balljoint to fit

most rivited on balljoints i have done you simply grind a cross in the lower head and air chisel head off, then swap for the air punch and punch it through-now not these chaps-these looked like they should be on an ocean liner -i had to drill them almost right out before the air chisel punch would give me a hand and pop them out-the balljoint is relatively unusual in that its sandwiched inbetween two layers of the lower arm too-this makes removal/refitting a little more awkward than normal too

one of the reasons i only did the joint is that its police spec-the bushes may be different/stronger-it certainly feels firm under pressure of the pry bar

feels a bit nicer at the front now-will get it aligned too in the near future
