fitted the jack kit that arrived today
set up the new flip key remote (just need blade cutting)
ordered a Dice vida kit for £59 from the bay of fleas
and finding out my heated mirrors don't work, ordered new mirrors
now awaiting the arrival of the filler flap hinge, petrol cap holder strap and radio knob kit

How does an air freshener melt the radio control knobs?

The same happened to a mates Impreza. The oil from the vent mounted air freshener spilled down the centre console and seemed to melt the rubber finish that was on it. Only option was to replace the centre console as no amount of cleaning would sort it.

its the liquid or even the card type ones do it,
seen so many damaged plastic trim due to these.
must be some sort of solvent in them, not sure

Used to work in the car rental business and the drug dealers would often melt the dash from 20 or so magic tree air fresheners in the car.
